The median price paid for a home in Lee County jumped 21% year over year in June to $117,100 up from $96,900 12 months earlier. Total home sales in June, as reported by Florida Realtors, were 1,325 down 12% from 1,501 in June 2010. Prices for condominiums also are rising rapidly with the median price increasing to $149,100 in June compared with a median of $131,400 one year earlier. Total condominium sales in June were 407, down just 3% from June 2010’s 420 closed sales. Median price is the amount at which half of the homes sold for more and half for less.
