Naples area home sales increased fractionally in September with 536 closings compared to 526 closings in the same month one year ago.

This statistic and others are part of the Naples Area Board Of Realtors (NABOR) September report.

As the local market continues to rebound, the median price of closed sales has increased $20,000 in one year. Last month the median price for all closed sales was $185,000. The median price is the point where half of all sales are priced below and the other half are priced above.

Inventory in the Naples area continues to fall with 6,195 homes and condominums currently listed for sale compared with 7,069 in September of 2011.

The average number of days it takes to sell a home is up year over year. In September, it took 178 days from listing to close which is 19 more days then the same period one year ago.
