Corkscew Shores Pre-Construction Aerial

Corkscrew Shores, a planned 722-acre gated residential community three miles east of Interstate 75 on Corkscrew Road in Estero, has positioned itself to expand.

Pulte Homes recently purchased 20 additional lots, company representative Valerie Dolenga said, and most of those lots already are sold.

Dolenga said each lot would feature one additional home, bringing the total number of homes in the community to more than 300.

The popularity of the residential community makes sense, considering its location, Dolenga said.

“The Estero area offers so much and has become a premier destination in Southwest Florida with many established, master-planned communities and a wide selection of retail, restaurant and entertainment opportunities so it’s not a surprise that buyer traffic remains steady and that consumers are interested in buying homes at Corkscrew Shores,” she said.

Company officials said Corkscrew Shores features 11 home designs from 1,289 square feet to more than 3,300 square feet. Home prices range from $300,000 to more than $600,000.

The community represents an attractive option for a variety of demographics, Dolenga said.

“Pulte Homes offers one-story and two-story homes, perfect for families and empty-nesters alike,” Dolenga said.

Dolenga said the expansion would include an amenity center that’s scheduled to open in fall 2015. Features will include a resort pool, a fire pit, tennis, bocce ball and pickleball courts, a sports playing field and pavilion, a kayak and canoe launch, a fishing pier, and an outdoor bar and pavilion. There also will be a clubhouse with a community gathering room, fitness center and movement studio, activity rooms and a catering kitchen.
