NABOR-logoClosed home and condominium sales in the Naples area continued to edge lower in September as the median price paid continued to increase. These statistics come from the Naples Area Board Of Realtors (NABOR) September housing report which was released today.

Total closed sales in September finished at 620 homes and condos compared with 697 in the same month last year. Of the closed sales, 307 were single family homes (358 were sold in the ninth month of 2013) and 313 closed sales were condominiums (there were 339 condominiums sold in the same month one year ago). The total number of closed sales in the first nine months of the year is 9585 compared with 9919 in the first nine months of 2013.

The median price for a home or condo in the Naples area finished September at $260,000, up from $245,000 in 2013. The current median price for a home sold in the Naples area stands at $320,000, an increase from $290,000 one year ago. The current median price paid for a condominium is $220,000, a jump from $187,000 12 months ago.

It currently takes, on average, 75 days to sell a home or condo in Naples, compared with 114 days one year ago in September.

The total inventory of available properties for sale has been reduced to 3,702 from 4,080 this time last year.
