road-construction-graphicThe Collier County Board Of Commissioners have voted to extend Logan Blvd., a major north-south route, from it’s current terminus on Immokalee Rd. to Bonita Beach Rd. in south Lee County. This will be the first north-south roadway, east of I-75, to connect North Naples and Bonita Springs.

Logan Blvd. currently runs south from Immokalee Rd. to Green Blvd. on the far western edge of Golden Gate Estates where the name of the highway changes to Santa Barbara Blvd.. Santa Barbara Blvd. continues south to Rattlesnake-Hammock Rd. where the road’s name changes again to St. Andrews Blvd. in the Lely community, St. Andrews Blvd. intersects U.S. 41 in East Naples.

Current plans call for the road extension to run along a right-of-way bordered on the west by the Palmira Golf and Country Club and the San Remo communities and on the east  by the Village Walk of Bonita Springs community.

The $4.4 million dollar project is expected to be completed by mid 2018.
